A More Just Health Care System

We strongly believe that health care is a basic human right and should be available and accessible to all. But the health care system that Americans rely on is unsustainable and in desperate need of reform.

Health care costs are increasing, access is declining, quality of care is uneven, and our nation's health is suffering. We are committed to being part of the solution to this crisis and are calling for comprehensive health care reform guided by four basic principles: universal access, stable financing, improved quality, and improved accountability. If current trends continue, the United States health care system will slide towards an unacceptable state of inadequate health care services.

We are vigorously advocating for change in public policy at all levels of government, but your input and insights are an important part of the process. Share your ideas, and participate in this ongoing health care dialogue at our CHW Thought Blog.
